The desk's mandate is tooffer solutions to its clients primarily through interest rate derivativeproducts, including but not limited to interest rate swaps, options, swaptionsand inflation-linked products along with structured note issuances and cashproducts. Through partnering with financial control, front office, businessmanagement, middle office and operations, the Product Controllers are taskedwith the production of daily P&L/risk, balance sheet capital management andensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements, while drivingthe control agenda across the business.The ProductControl Associate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Submit accurate and timely reporting disclosures, including but not limited to RWA, FVM/FVO, Reg. Cap & External Reporting requirementsReport variance and risk based commentaryDaily risk based (Greek) P&L Explains, understand the P&L drivers at both a deal-level and macro-levelProduction and consolidation of daily profit & loss reportsInvestigation and resolution of P&L estimate vs actual differencesDaily interaction with front office to ensure 100% P&L and Risk sign offWork with financial control team to ensure the general ledger ties to front-end P&L(DRR)Understand the legal, regulatory, compliance, credit, market risk management, tax and accounting issues as they relate to the product or booking entityWork closely with Market Risk Coverage to report, validate and reconcile key risk metrics in VARSParticipate in process improvements and projects impacting current External reporting and P&L and risk functions.The candidate must behighly-motivated and able to shift focus between tasks with relative ease. Theindividual should also be flexible enough to shift workload in accordance withchanging priorities, and be comfortable dealing with a sometimes stressful andfast-paced trading and month end priority-driven environment.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MathematicsPrevious experience in a Product Control, Middle Office or similar P&L/Risk-focused roleDerivative product knowledge, understanding of GreeksComfort liaising with senior team membersStrong analytical skillsAbility to multi-task in a constantly changing environmentExcellent desktop/spreadsheet/database skills - preferably VBAExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTime management; organization and prioritization of tasks, setting own deadlines and working to defined targets.
