The individual in this position needs to be a highly-motivated self-starter who is able to vigorously promote the family of brands associated with the Elite Division of Travel Leaders Group in a favorable and honest light to external and internal audiences, including, but not limited to, the news media and other affiliated agencies. This position also requires very exceptionally strong writing and proofreading skills, along with the ability to strategize effectively and pro-actively communicate with all external and internal audiences, frequently on extremely tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Public/Media RelationsManage all public/media relations efforts with national and local print, radio, TV and electronic news media to effectively position Protravel International, Tzell Travel Group and the other travel agency brands that comprise the Elite Division. This requires management of constant outreach efforts, particularly with a focus on high-end, luxury consumer news media for both leisure and business travel.Act as spokesperson for Travel Leaders Elite including Protravel, Tzell and the other business units of Travel Leaders Elite. Create, write and disseminate news releases for Protravel, Tzell, and Travel Leaders Elite, as well as the other brands within the Elite Division.Seek out PR opportunities for Travel Leaders Elite and its family of brands.Create and manage news media lists needed to promote the brands of Travel Elite nationally, as well as where there are branch locations. Counsel and advise executives from Travel Leaders Elite on all PR matters including positioning of the brands.Assist in lead media training for key executives and select travel agents from the various brands within Travel Leaders Elite.Act as a liaison to any outside PR agency Travel Leaders Elite utilizes. Manage all media and publicity required for annual branch meetings and/or special events. This may include inviting and hosting news media, as well as managing news media briefings, writing and dissemination of news releases, etc.Manage and report on all news coverage received for Travel Leaders Eilte brands with appropriate audiences. Communications:Manage all communications on behalf of Travel Leaders Elite, including writing key messaging for Elite division president. Manage and conduct surveys and polls, compile information for news releases and corporate rankings.Create, write and disseminate "talking points" on critical travel industry topics for key company stakeholders.
