Position Title Relationship Manager Position reports to Director of Student and School Relations Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage relationships with high school students and their families partner high schools and mentors Act as a liaison between students and their families school coordinators and mentors at partner schools in various boroughs Travel to partner schools at least three times annually to meet with students teachers and administrators and to conduct training sessions with students on a variety of topics eg goal setting soft skills Review studentsa report cards quarterly to identify and address academic attendance or disciplinary issues Address concerns raised by school coordinators and or mentors about studentsa academic performance attendance disciplinary issues or personal challenges Lead meetings with students and their families and school coordinators to address academic performance attendance disciplinary issues or personal challenges and to create supportive action plans Monitor relationships between students and mentors Identify and actively respond to any student mentor connectivity issues Review student mentor communication reports as submitted to SSP by school coordinators each month Regularly input student data into a CRM database Review tuition invoices from partner schools quarterly Review student thank you notes to mentors and financial sponsors biannually Work closely with the College and Career Program team to offer students college readiness resources and services Recruit new incoming freshmen class Attend multiple student recruitment events organized by partner high schools feeder middle schools and community partners during fall and winter each year Read and evaluate student applications Interview families who have applied to SSP and explain the SSP program in detail ie the responsibilities of the students and their families and the relationship between SSP students families mentors and schools Participate in the decision making process to determine student acceptance and school assignment Help coordinate the process of informing students and their families of school decisions and keep accurate records of relevant data ie reason for rejections school acceptance rate Plan and assist in the execution of all SSP new student orientation sessions Work closely with SSPa s mentor recruitment team to pair students with mentors Requirements The ideal candidate would possess the following Strong desire to learn about SSPa s mission and to share his her passion for SSP with others Fluency in Spanish Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Experience with FileMaker or other CRM customer relationship management databases software Client customer service focus Ability to complete tasks in a timely fashion and to be consistently responsive Willingness to work as a team member in a collaborative setting Ability to multitask in a highly organized and efficient manner meeting deadlines within a fast paced environment Detail oriented self sufficient working style Strong interpersonal skills Strong communication skills both spoken and written Ability to work some evenings and weekends Qualifications and Skills Education Bachelora s degree required Working knowledge of experience with CRM database systems preferred Language English and Spanish fluency both spoken and written required Experience years in education nonprofit or relevant field preferred Experience working with high school students preferred
