Assist physician in providing primary health care and management of patient care. Certified Medical Assistant Requirements: The Certified Medical Assistant duties shall include but not be limited to the following: Prepare patients for examination and treatment; takes patients brief history and vital signs, and documents in the EHR; prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments, cleans and restocks rooms after each patient; assist with scanning of documents/results and abstracting of charts as needed; ensure complete chart prep prior to patient visit; responsible for obtaining authorizations for patient testing and assists with referral tracking and documentation. In addition, this position is also responsible for answering phones, patient registration, scheduling appointments, obtaining authorizations/pre-certs. Etc. Must have successfully completed a formal Medical Assistant and/or phlebotomy training program. Six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have and maintain BLS certification. Must have a car and willing to travel and float between different multi-specialty practices in North Jersey.
