The Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President directs all the HR functions of the Medical Center in accordance with the policies and practices of RWJBarnabas Health, within the scope of legal and regulatory guidelines. The CHRO is responsible for the day to day operations of Human Resources to include, Recruitment and Retention, including employee and management development, Wage and Salary Administration, Benefits Administration, HRIS, Employee Relations and HR Budgets and Expenses. Labor Relations includes CBA negotiations, grievances and arbitrations. A working relationship with union officers and local delegates provides a collegial interaction between management and the union. The CHRO plans, coordinates and administers policies relating to all phases of hospital personnel activities. Interprets hospital policies and regulations for all employees including managerial levels in the organization. This position includes direct responsibilities for seeking the best talent, enhancing diversity to reflect our community and assists to provide a safe environment for our workforce. Employee Health, Pastoral Care and our State Funded Domestic Violence Shelter reports to this position. The Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President is a member of the Medical Center Administration and Senior Management team, in addition, serves as a member of the System HR Leadership team.
