Real Estate Manager Job ID 90694 Location Manhattan - Downtown SALARY RANGE: Min.: $58,021 Mid.: $72,526 HAY POINTS: 372 DEPT/DIV: Real Estate SUPERVISOR: Deputy Director LOCATION: 2 Broadway HOURS OF WORK: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (7 1/2 hours/day) Summary Under the direction of the MTA Real Estate Deputy Director the person in this position will plan, implement and manage property acquisition and disposition activities to support MTA-New York City Transit capital programs and ongoing operations, market, lease and license properties, and research and respond to real estate related inquiries. Responsibilities Assist management in coordinating with MTA agencies to acquire real property interests required for expanding and improving transportation facilities. Market, license, and lease MTA-New York City Transit properties to maximize revenue and provide amenities to our passengers. Negotiate contracts of sale or purchase, leases, licenses, easements, permits, and other agreements to support of the above two responsibilities. Act as liaison with MTA agencies and their various departments (eg legal, engineering, and operations). Assist in the management of MTA agency properties, including acting as a liaison in resolving lease disputes and other tenant related matters. Other duties as may be required to support department objectives. Qualifications Knowledge of project management and familiarity with real estate principles. Familiarity with plans, maps, and surveys. Ability to interpret and draft real estate documents. Knowledge of real estate research resources. Ability to present information clearly and accurately both written and orally. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or related field. 1-2 years of full-time commercial real estate experience or business experience. A Master's Degree in Business Administration or Real Estate is preferred.
