Public Meeting:
What the Murder of Trayvon Martin Says About America

Wednesday, May 2
7 pm
Flatbush Reformed Church
890 Flatbush Ave (at Church Ave)

On February 26, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was killed by neighborhood vigilante George Zimmerman, murdered for the crime of "walking while Black." But Trayvon's murder was not just the action of a lone racist, but the product of a system that profiles, criminalizes and incarcerates huge numbers of Black men in what some have called "the new Jim Crow."

Racism has been woven into the fabric of American capitalism since its very beginning. Come discuss how to challenge the New Jim Crow today and how the struggle against racism is connected to the fight for a different world.

Sponsored by the International Socialist Organization.
